Derwent Retreat Self Catering Waterside Accommodation Austins Ferry Tasmania is a fully equipped executive residence situated on Stony point in historic Austins Ferry 15 minutes from Hobart. It has some of the best views in the state with a Panorama stretching from Mt Wellington in the south to Mt Direction to the east and north to the Quoin and beyond. The area is surrounded by parks and steeped in history.

You drive through James Austin Park on the north side of the Yacht club and where the first ferry in Tasmania was located to get to Derwent retreat and the area has much historical interest..

The house is fully furnished, has three bedrooms and two bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen and laundry, barbeque, towels, linen, TV, broadband etc. The property has a modern fully equipped kitchen with microwave, hotplates, stove and fridge. The laundry has a washing machine and dryer. On the balcony there is a gas barbeque and second dining table and chairs. All linen and crockery are provided and there is a TV, stereo etc. central heating or wood stove for warmth, a local call only telephone, wireless internet for business and large garden with many natural rock features and small basketball hoop for relaxation. Derwent Retreat is is surrounded by water or parks and located a short drive or walk away through Austin Park to a public launching ramp and yacht club. It has a large garden with many natural rock features.

Derwent Retreat is an ideal Hobart base for business or pleasure, only a short drive from the Brooker Highway and close to major business and tourist attractions such as Moorilla, Cadburys, Alpenrail, Bonorong Park, Richmond, New Norfolk, Salmon Ponds and the Derwent valley. Claremont Golf and Bowls Clubs are both only a couple of kilometres away. Public transport is easily accessed and shops are less than half a kilometre away. A Woolworths-Safeway Shopping Centre is one kilometre away. All main rooms have wonderful views of the Derwent River and Mount Wellington.

Sailing down to Tasmania? We have our own mooring for customers and there is a public jetty close by.

Derwent Retreat is rented short to medium term at competitive rates and is suitable for business people looking for somewhere to stay, a retreat or quiet place to work or holiday makers keen on sampling the many attractions that the Hobart region is famous for.

Pets are welcome at Derwent Retreat but not inside. There is an enclosure suitable for compatible animals.
